Footnotes
THE OBLITERATOR was bumped at the start and forced into another rival, settled off the pace, gained to make a bid in the five path on the turn, took over the lead into upper stretch and drew away under steady urging. TAKAHAMA broke in and bumped with a foe, angled in towards the rear, advanced along the rail with about five furlongs to run, chased inside on the far turn, squeezed through along the rail in upper stretch and safely secured the place. BIG BROOKLYN disputed the pace on the inside of a rival, vied in the two path under urging while inside of foes on the turn, battled under a drive in upper stretch, dropped back into the final furlong and weakened but was clear for the show. CHARLIE HUSTLE contested the pace on the outside, vied between horses in the three path on the turn, dropped back in upper stretch and tired. SICILIAN DANCER bumped with a rival at the start, stalked the pace on the outside of the leaders, made a bid leaving the backstretch, vied in the four path on the turn, dropped back in upper stretch and faltered. TRUE ADIRONDACKER bumped with foes on both sides at the start then had ZIP FOR RICK clip his heels, tracked the pace on the outside, dropped back inside the three-quarter pole, was urged along in the five then six path on the turn and failed to respond. ZIP FOR RICK bumped with rivals on both sides at the start, clipped the heels of a foe shortly thereafter then stumbled, saved ground at the rear, turned into the stretch in the two path and was no factor. REIGN IT IN was well placed just off the pace, chased in the two then three path on the turn, dropped back late on that bend and retreated.
