LUCILLE BALL went to the front then showed the way, dictated terms in the two path on the turn, responded well when asked near the quarter-pole, drew off under a drive into the final seventy yards then was eased up while much the best. ROMANTIC DANCER settled off the pace, was urged along in the three path on the turn, turned into upper stretch in the four path and improved for the place. SARIR chased the pace, raced inside for most of the turn then shifted to the two path and weakened then lost the place while clear for the show. PRACTICAL LOV was urged along near the back, went around the turn in the two to three path and failed to threaten. WAVELESS chased the pace down the backstretch, moved from the four path to the three path early on the turn, pursued the winner into upper stretch and tired. DANZIT dropped back with five furlongs to run, moved from the two path to the inside on the turn and was no factor. ADELIESE'S SMILE dropped back along the rail with five furlongs to run, retreated to the rear late on the backstretch, angled from the inside to the four path on the turn, floated into the seven path entering the stretch, drifted out near the furlong marker and never reached contention. WILD MAMA was urged from the start, moved out over heels near the three-quarter pole, advanced while ridden along on the outside, dropped from the six path to the four path on the turn and retreated. HUE tracked the pace on the outside, dropped from the five path to the four path early on the turn, chased into the stretch and capitulated.
