NATIONAL IDENTITY got brushed and shied out a step at the start due to pressure from PRINCE VALIANT breaking outwards, dueled from the three path with that rival to his inside, took over command with five-sixteenths to go, spun three wide into upper stretch, went clear under a drive and held clear to the wire. PROTECTED coaxed from the gate, chased five then four wide under a ride from three furlongs out, went five wide into upper stretch, offered up a mild kick. MY MITOLE chased seven paths off the inside down the backstretch and then five wide through the turn under coaxing from the three-eighths pole, tipped seven wide into upper stretch and kicked on belatedly to the finish. BRACIOLE coaxed from the gate, steadied after the start, chased just off the inside under a ride from the seven-sixteenths pole, angled four wide into upper stretch, offered up a mild bid improving position to the end. PRINCE VALIANT broke out at the start taking over the lane of the stumbling LANDING CRAFT and brushing NATIONAL IDENTITY, dueled from the two path with that rival to the outside, came under coaxing three furlongs out, yielded the front with five-sixteenths to go, spun just off the inside into upper stretch and tired. LANDING CRAFT stumbled badly at the start and then got steadied when PRINCE VALIANT took over the lane in front and was away last, chased along the inside under urging from the seven-sixteenths marker, cornered just off the inside into upper stretch and made no impact.
