CARLIN CONTENTION got bumped at the start by KILLYBEGS KID due to pressure from CHILLY CHEESESTEAK, chased just off the inside and then along the inside coming under a ride at the seven-sixteenths marker, went eight wide into upper stretch, offered up a good finish to collar the leader forty yards from the finish, then prevailed edging away to the wire. FREEDOM MAKER chased five then four wide coming under coaxing near the quarter pole, took over command and swung four then three wide into upper stretch, edged clear to the eighth pole, dug in growing a bit leg weary and was caught forty yards from the finish, dug in to preserve the place honors on the line. DAYTONA MOONSHINE broke out a step at the start and was corrected, chased five to six paths off the inside down the backstretch and then four wide through the turn, went ten wide into upper stretch and closed well to secure the show honors. DOWN THE LINE traded a bump with AETHERIUM at the break, chased six paths off the inside down the backstretch and then four wide through the turn coming under coaxing three furlongs from home, went seven wide into upper stretch and offered up a mild bid. AETHERIUM traded a bump at the start with the aforementioned foe, chased three then two wide in aim of the front advancing to take narrow and brief command at the five-sixteenths, got headed near the quarter pole and spun just off the inside into upper stretch, dug in prominent to the eighth pole, then weakened through to the finish. KILLYBEGS KID got bumped at the start by CHILLY CHEESESTEAK and in turn bumped CARLIN CONTENTION, chased along the inside briefly and shied in near the gap just outside six and a half furlongs to run, chased two to three wide down the backstretch and then just off the inside through the turn coming under a ride with five-sixteenths remaining, angled five wide into upper stretch and weakened. SAINT SOLOMON chased four then three wide under urging from the seven-sixteenths pole, cornered just off the inside into upper stretch and tired. CHILLY CHEESESTEAK broke in at the start bumping KILLYBEGS KID into CARLIN CONTENTION, showed the way in hand just off the inside and then along the inside, came under encouragement at the three-eighths marker, yielded the front with five-sixteenths to go, swung three wide into upper stretch, folded, and was eased home to the end.
