Footnotes
BALA DE PLATA went to the front then showed the way, went around the turn in the two path, responded well when asked for his best in upper stretch, drew off into the final furlong, remained clear into the final sixteenth and held under strong urging. THE OBLITERATOR dropped to the rear of the field, moved out leaving the chute, settled on the far outside, was urged along passing the nine-sixteenths pole, rounded the turn in the four path, was driven into the stretch in the five path then was carried further out, gained into the final sixteenth and finished willingly for the place. OUR NOTION dropped back then was urged along off the pace, raced in the three path on the turn, was driven into the stretch in the four path, drifted out some under a left-handed crop while remaining on his inside lead, swapped to the proper lead at the furlong marker and also finished willingly but missed the place while clear for the show. SOUTHEASTERN settled off the pace, was urged along late on the backstretch, saved ground on the turn and lacked the needed response. CAPANAPARO came outward at the start, stalked the winner on the outside, chased in the three path on the turn, turned into the stretch under the crop and tired.
