PARTY IN THE ARMY was hustled from the gate, angled in while going to the front, controlled the action while inside on the turn, passed the five-sixteenths pole under urging, drew off under a drive into the final furlong and proved much the best under steady urging. WAMO brushed with twice with a foe at the start, bumped with another rival early then moved out, chased the pace, went around the turn in the three path, turned into upper stretch under a drive and safely secured the place while no match for the winner. ESCAPE HALL broke in and bumped soundly with a rival, bumped with another foe early, was urged along towards the rear, went around the turn in the two to three path, turned into the stretch in the four path and lacked the needed response while best of the rest. TOP PLAYER was hustled from the gate, showed speed under urging on the inside of the winner then was eased back off the pace, chased the leader down the backstretch, went around the turn in the two path and tired. SOCIABLY JOHNNY was ridden along at the rear, rounded the turn in the three path and failed to threaten. INSTANT SUCCESS was hustled from the gate then urged along on the outside, traveled around the turn in the four path, dropped back in the five path into the stretch and failed to respond. MIAMI KAZ bumped soundly with a foe at the start while brushing with another opponent then dropped back, was urged along towards the rear, saved ground on the turn, came off the rail outside the quarter-pole, turned into the stretch in the three path and was no factor.
