Footnotes
ASKING bumped with a rival at the start, tracked the pace on the outside, moved to the lead outside the half-mile pole, vied in the four path while inside of SO VAIN on the turn, shook clear of that foe at the five-sixteenths pole then was roused, drew away under a drive into the final furlong, shortened stride into the final sixteenth and maintained a safe advantage under strong urging. ICY LEGS settled at the rear, moved from the two path to the five path under urging on the turn, drifted inward in upper stretch and gained to get the place. SO VAIN lost her footing at the start then bumped with a foe and was off a step slow, settled on the outside, moved closer with five furlongs to run, ranged up late on the backstretch, made a bid at the seven-sixteenths pole, vied in the five path while asked on the turn, lost touch with the winner late on that bend, kept on in pursuit of that foe in the stretch and missed the place while far clear for the show. KEF bobbled at the start, raced towards the front, chased in the two then three path on the turn and came up empty. GOLDEN MIRACLE dropped off the pace, took a few slightly awkward strides leaving the chute, was urged along passing the five-eighths pole, saved ground on the turn and failed to respond. PENCIMA broke in and brushed the gate, settled off the pace, was urged along late on the backstretch, moved from the rail to the two path on the turn, dropped back to the rail at the top of the stretch and also failed to respond. HUDSON RIVER LINE went to the front then showed the way, lost the lead outside the half-mile pole, dropped back in the three then four path on the turn, spun into the stretch in the five path and faltered.
