NEW YORK SCRAPPY angled in while hustled to the front, dictated terms in the two path while asked on the turn, extended the advantage outside the quarter-pole, drew off under a drive into the final furlong and proved much the best under steady urging. FORT NELSON was taken in hand behind the leader near the five-eighths pole then raced between foes, dropped back in the two path early on the turn, shifted to the three then four path later on that bend, dropped in under a drive in upper stretch and safely secured the place while no match for the winner. MIDDLE MARKET was hustled from the gate, chased the pace on the inside, took an awkward stride while very close to the rail leaving the backstretch and dropped back, saved ground on the turn and came up empty. RULE SIXTY TWO tracked the pace on the outside, chased in the three path for most of the turn then moved to the four path, spun into the stretch in the five path and tired.
