CARVELLIAN QUEST was hustled to the front then showed the way with a clear advantage, went around most of the turn in the three to four path, dropped to the two path late on that bend, responded well when asked for his best in upper stretch and drew off under steady urging to prove much the best. THRILL OF IT settled off the pace, gained in the two path on the turn, moved to the four path outside the quarter-pole and safely secured the place while no match for the winner. LAST MAN STANDING settled off the pace, moved from the three path to the five path under urging on the turn, brushed with a foe inside the three-eighths pole, was driven into the stretch in the six path and lacked the needed response while along for the show. EPITAPH dropped back early then came under urging, saved ground for most of the turn then shifted to the three path, chased into upper stretch, drifted out into the final furlong then was taken in hand off heels and weakened. ENDURING SPIRIT showed speed on the outside then chased the pace, moved from the four path to the six path on the turn and came up empty. TARPAULIN raced on the outside under urging, was carried from the five path to the seven path early on the turn, dropped to the four then three path late on that bend and faltered then was eased in the final furlong but walked off. FIRST TRUMPET was hustled from the gate then chase the pace, moved from the two path to the four path on the turn, dropped back to the three path late on that bend and also faltered then was eased in the final furlong but walked off.
