Footnotes
SCULCOS FOLLY brushed with a rival at the start while going to the front, showed the way down the backstretch, went around the turn in the two path, shook off a brief challenge from the runner-up near the five-sixteenths pole, was put to a strong hand-ride in upper stretch, drew off into the final sixteenth then was eased up while much the best. THE TOY CANNON was hustled from the gate, stalked the pace on the outside, made a bid in the three path midway through the turn, lost touch with the winner near the five-sixteenths pole and proved no match while able to safely secure the place. HONG KONG PHOOEY broke in then bumped twice with a rival, was well placed just off the pace while in hand, dropped back to rail late on the backstretch, saved ground on the turn, was roused inside the three-eighths pole, chased into the stretch and came up empty while best of the rest. CAPANAPARO broke out at the start, settled on the outside, chased in the four path on the turn and also came up empty. LIAMSTER bumped a couple times with foes at the start, settled off the pace, was urged along in the two then three path for most of the turn, shifted to the five path outside the quarter-pole and failed to respond. ESSENTIALLY FAST brushed with a foe at the start then bumped with that rival, settled towards the rear, went around most of the turn in the three path then dropped to the two path and failed to respond. NEVER SAY UNCLE broke in a bit at the start, was urged along at the rear, went around most of the turn in the four path then dropped to the two path and faltered.
