IGNITE THE LIGHT went to the front then showed the way on the inside of a rival, shook clear coming to the five-sixteenths pole, responded well when asked for his best in upper stretch and drew off under strong urging. TOXIC GRAY chased the pace from third, went around the turn in mostly the three path, moved to the four path briefly near the five-sixteenths pole then dropped back to the three path, chased under a drive into upper stretch and proved no match while clear for the place. EMIRATES ROAD dropped off the pace, moved in early on the backstretch, was urged along late on the backstretch, went around the turn in the two path, swung out to the five path into upper stretch and lacked the needed response while best of the rest. TOP GUN ROCKET dropped back between horses early then angled to the far outside, was ridden along near the rear, dropped from the four path to the three path early on the turn, came out to the seven path into upper stretch and was no factor. LOCKE AND KEY had his saddle adjusted behind the gate, was urged along near the back, moved from the rail to the three path on the turn, came out to the eight path into upper stretch and was no factor. VETTRIANO angled in early then pressed the pace on the outside, vied in the two path for most of the turn, moved to the three path briefly while losing touch with the winner around the five-sixteenths pole then dropped back to the two path and capitulated.
