B THEDONALD came in just after the start, chased the pace on the outside, went around most of the turn in the four path then dropped to the three path, took the lead outside the quarter-pole then shook clear into the stretch, remained clear under a drive into the final sixteenth and just held under strong urging. BOUNTY BANKER brushed with a foe at the start, was well placed just off the pace, drafted in the two path on the turn, steadied briefly in traffic inside the five-sixteenths pole then was roused, turned into the stretch in the four path, pursued the winner while remaining on his inside lead into the final sixteenth, swapped to the proper lead while gaining shortly thereafter and closed to just miss while well clear for the place. ICE HOUSE bumped with a rival at the start then was hustled to the lead, showed the way on the inside of a rival, vied along the rail on the turn, lost the advantage to the winner outside the quarter-pole and weakened but was well clear for the show. POWER SPEED bumped with an opponent at the start, showed speed then pressed the pace on the outside, vied in the three path while roused for more on the turn, was crowded some while dropping back late on that bend and tired. DIAMOND LIFE brushed with a foe at the start, was urged along off the pace, moved out outside the nine-sixteenths pole, went around the turn in the four then three path and failed to threaten. PROFESSOR PROTON was urged along off the pace, dropped from the two path to the inside on the turn and failed to respond. MANHATTAN CHROME bumped with rivals on both sides at the start, was urged along early, climbed badly near the five-eighths pole and dropped back quickly, saved ground on the turn and came up empty. EYE ON THE BALL bumped with a foe after the start, was urged along on the outside, traveled around the turn in the four then five path and also failed to respond. TWENTY ONE RED bumped with an opponent after the start then steadied when a foe crossed in front, was urged along well off the pace on the outside, went around the turn in the five path and faltered then was eased in the final furlong but walked off.
