Footnotes
MAKES SENSE went to the front, showed the way on the inside, was urged along on the far turn, moved clear near the five-sixteenths pole, was challenged by the runner-up at the quarter-pole, drifted out under a left-handed crop in upper stretch, switched to a right-handed crop inside the furlong marker then shook off the runner-up and drew off under steady urging. CHILLAX raced in the three path on the first turn, settled off the pace, was asked while inside to the two path on the turn, made a bid into the stretch, battled outside of the winner until inside the furlong marker then proved no match while clear for the place. NEON BORDEAUX was taken back after the start, saved ground on the first turn, settled at the rear, was urged along passing the five-eighths pole, moved from the rail to the three path on the far turn, dropped back to the rail late on that bend and was along for the show. LAND D'ORO was hustled from the gate, raced in the three path on the first turn, stalked the pace, was given his cue in the three path on the far turn, chased into upper stretch, was carried in near the sixteenth-pole and weakened. GEORGIA MAGIC was hustled from the gate, rounded the first turn in the four path, was rated on the outside, tugged his way closer outside the five-eighths pole, chased in the four path on the far turn and came up empty. VALENTINIAN traveled around the first turn in the two path, was reserved off the pace, navigated the far turn in the four path, turned into upper stretch in the five path, moved in near the furlong marker, drifted in coming to the sixteenth-pole and lacked the needed response. POWER SEEKER broke through the front of the gate prior to the start but remained in the stall, went around the opening bend in the four path, was rated off the pace, moved closer outside the five-eighths pole, was urged along late on the backstretch, rounded the far turn in the three path, dropped to the rail coming to the quarter-pole and had nothing left. RUN QUIET RUN FAST was hustled from the gate, dropped from the four path to the three path early on the first turn, settled well back on the outside, was urged along passing the five-eighths pole, went around the far turn in the four then five path, turned into upper stretch in the six path and was no factor. AMBITION raced inside to the two path on the turns and never reached contention. MAGICAL WAYS was hustled from the start, raced in the two path on the first turn, prompted the pace on the outside, vied between foes in the two path on the far turn, dropped back late on that bend and retreated. TOGA D'ORO was rated in the two path on the first turn, settled down the backstretch, came up empty along the rail early on the far turn, moved out while retreating later on that bend, came out into upper stretch and was eased but walked off.
