KADENA broke out but was away in front then hustled, angled in early then showed the way with a clear advantage, dictated terms while dropping from the two path to the inside on the turn, responded well when asked outside the quarter-pole, came under a right-handed crop in upper stretch and drew off under strong urging. NEXT ON STAGE broke out and bumped very hard with a foe, was urged along off the pace, moved closer with five furlongs to run, chased inside on the turn, turned into upper stretch under a drive and safely secured the place while no threat to the winner. GOODNIGHTNGODBLESS broke out at the start, dropped back towards the rear of the field, saved ground on the turn, turned into the stretch in the two path and improved for the show. CURRENT CLIMATE was hustled from the gate, moved out near the five-eighths pole then chased the leader, went around the turn in the three path, turned into upper stretch under a drive and tired. SHADYSIDE was hustled from the gate, dropped back while urged along, went around the turn in the four path and failed to respond. READY FOR TROUBLE was bumped very hard at the start then checked, spotted the front a few lengths, raced in the two path on the turn, spun into the stretch in the three path and was no factor.
