Footnotes
TOP PLAYER bobbled at the start but broke near the front then was sent hard, set the pace under pressure to his outside, moved clear near the nine-sixteenths pole, went around the turn in the two path, responded well when asked inside the five-sixteenths pole and drew off under strong urging. MERCILESANIHILATOR pressed the pace on the outside, dropped back near the nine-sixteenths pole then chased the pace, went around the turn in the three path and safely secured the place while no match for the winner. LIAMSTER unseated his rider and got loose in the chute during warm-up then was caught with his hands by the rider, chased the pace, went around the turn in the four path and tired while clear for the show. NEVER SAY UNCLE broke in a tad at the start, was taken in hand early then dropped back, raced under urging late on the backstretch, traveled around the turn in the two path, came into the stretch in the three path and failed to threaten. ESSENTIALLY FAST was urged along at the rear, raced inside for most of the turn then shifted to the three path, spun into the stretch in the four path and failed to respond. TAKE A STANCE was well placed just off the pace, chased inside on the turn and came up empty. INSTANT SUCCESS chased the pace on the outside, dropped back late on the backstretch, moved from the five path to the four path early on the turn, turned into the stretch in the five path and faltered then was eased but walked off.
