RANGER BATTALION was urged along well off the pace, gained while angling from the rail to the four path on the turn, rallied into the stretch, closed strongly to get the lead from the embattled due coming to the sixteenth-pole then moved clear and was eased up some in the final strides. SHADOW BANKING broke in and bumped with a foe, came in outside the seven-eighths pole and made light contact with a rival, prompted the pace on the inside of an opponent, drew even with the leader at the half-mile pole, vied inside on the turn, was roused late on that bend, dueled with TIGER TWENTY FOUR in the stretch, narrowly bested that opponent for the place but was overtaken by the winner. TIGER TWENTY FOUR brushed with a foe at the start, showed the way on the outside of a rival, vied in the two path on the turn, was roused late on that bend, dueled with the runner-up in the stretch and was outfinished by the winner then just missed the place but was clear for the show.
