Footnotes
RADIO RED broke through the front of the gate prior to the start but remained in the stall, stalked the pace on the outside, engaged the leader while in the four path on the turn, took the advantage in upper stretch, fought outside of the runner-up into the final sixteenth then drew clear under mild urging. ANTONIO OF VENICE went to the front, showed the way with an easy lead, raced inside on the turn, was asked under threat outside the five-sixteenths pole, lost the advantage to the winner in upper stretch, came out some near the furlong marker, fought into the final sixteenth and proved no match late while well clear for the place. GUNNER BAY broke a step slow, moved up to be well placed just off the pace, chased in the two path on the turn and weakened while just able to get the show then was transported off the track via equine ambulance. DISARMED tossed his head then lunged outward at the start and was off slow, moved up under coaxing, raced in the three path on the turn, spun into the stretch in the four path and tired then just lost the show. CHILENO was urged along off the pace, rounded the turn in the two path and failed to respond. BOURBON CHASE broke a step slow, saved ground towards the rear and was no factor.
