TIOTE vied from the two path between rivals coming under coaxing near the quarter pole, spun three wide into upper stretch, dug in under a drive shaken off briefly a furlong out, continued on to take command a sixteenth from home and gamely fended off a pair of flanking challengers to the wire. APOLLO CODE four wide in pursuit, came under encouragement at the five-sixteenths pole, angled out eight to nine wide into upper stretch, dug in under a drive rallying to issue a challenge inside the final sixteenth but was ultimately denied on the line. CAPT JAX PARROW lunged at the break and was sluggish early on growing detached at the tail of the field, chased just off the inside under a ride from three furlongs out, angled four wide into upper stretch, closed well through to the finish but missed at the end. JOE WEST chased two to three wide under urging from the five-sixteenths marker, angled three to four wide into upper stretch, offered up a bid, then flattened out in the late stages. FRIC AND FRAC coaxed from the gate, vied inside a pair of rivals, came under light coaxing just outside the quarter pole before being roused cutting the corner into upper stretch, dug in under threat and was caught a sixteenth from home and weakened in the late going. NEW YORK SCRAPPY chased five then four wide under urging with five-sixteenths to go, tipped six wide at the head of the stretch, weakened in the late stages. PANDEMIC HERO stumbled at the break, recovered to vie three wide outside a pair of foes coming under encouragement at the five-sixteenths pole, angled five wide at the top of the lane, tired.
