COME TO PAPA four then three wide through the first turn, chased five then four wide, got set down spinning five wide into upper stretch, took over command with three-sixteenths to go and edged clear under a drive to prevail. WHITBY coaxed from the gate, showed the way just off the inside through the first turn and then three then two wide down the backstretch under some pressure from MALDINI to the outside, remained just off the inside through the far turn coming under urging midway, continued just off the inside into upper stretch, yielded the front with three-sixteenths remaining, ran on to preserve the place honors. MALDINI three wide through the first turn, prompted the leader from the outside four then three wide, came under encouragement three furlongs out, swung four wide into upper stretch and kept on to garner the show honors. CARLIN CONTENTION chased just off the inside under coaxing from the five-sixteenths marker, angled five to six wide into upper stretch, improved position to the finish. FEVER NIGHT chased two to three wide under urging from the five-sixteenths pole, angled five wide for home, weakened in the late stages.
