FLAT ON was hustled to the front, showed the way on an easy lead in the two path, was challenged on the far turn, spun into the stretch in the four path then drifted further out under a left-handed crop, brushed with the runner-up inside the three-sixteenths pole, shook off that foe into the final sixteenth and prevailed under good handling. LAUGHING BOY was taken under a tight hold early, dropped from the four path to the three path early on the first turn, was rated on the outside, made a bid in the three path on the far turn, was carried into the five path entering the stretch then was carried out some more then brushed by the winner, fought outside that foe until near the sixteenth-pole and was outfinished while well clear for the place. SIX KINGS moved from the three path to the two path while under some restraint on the first turn, dropped back early on the backstretch, was urged along in the two then three path on the far turn and lacked the needed response while clear for the show. ERIC FROM MIAMI dropped from the four path to the three path on the first turn, settled on the outside, was urged along in the four path on the far turn and came up empty. NOBODYRIDESFORFREE was rated on the inside, saved ground under urging on the far turn, moved off the rail outside the quarter-pole and faltered.
