Footnotes
STREET VIEW settled on the outside, moved closer near the eleven-sixteenths pole, made a bid late on the backstretch, vied in the four path on the turn, took the lead outside the five-sixteenths pole, shook clear under a drive in upper stretch and drew away under steady urging. BEIRA settled off the early pace, tossed her head and steadied very briefly while moving closer to the leader around the nine-sixteenths pole, made a bid late on the backstretch, vied in the three path early on the turn, led passing the three-eighths pole then lost the advantage to the winner, dropped to the two path late on the bend, pursued the winner in the stretch and proved no match but showed good courage while clear for the place. BLENHEIM BABY settled at the rear, was urged along passing the five-eighths pole, traveled around the turn in the two path, was driven into the stretch in the three path then moved further out, drifted out in the vicinity of the furlong marker and lacked the needed response while best of the rest. TO BE LOVED BY YOU brushed with a rival at the start, showed speed and set the pace on the outside, moved clear with six furlongs to run, was challenged while under urging late on the backstretch, lost the advantage in the two path outside the three-eighths pole, moved to the rail while dropping back late on the turn, drifted out near the furlong marker and tired. MONTAUK MYSTIQUE came inward at the start, was well positioned down the backstretch, chased inside on the turn and came up empty. FOCUS POCUS brushed with a foe at the start, showed speed on the inside of a rival, dropped back near the three-quarter pole then moved out while chasing, came up empty in the two then three path on the turn and retreated.
