Footnotes
PRINCE VALIANT was hustled from the gate, pressed the pace on the outside, drew even with the leader while inside of a foe in the three path on the turn, battled with two foes under a drive into the final furlong, moved closer to the runner-up while dueling with that rival to the finish and narrowly prevailed under strong handling. SUPER SWIFT went to the front, set the pace under pressure to his outside, vied along the rail on the turn, fought on with two foes while remaining on his inside lead in the stretch, dueled with the winner to the finish and just missed while clear for the place. KENNY BE ducked in sharply while under some left-rein pull at the start but broke with the field, showed speed then dropped just off the pace, moved out near the nine-sixteenths pole, gained late on the backstretch, made a bid in the four path while outside of two foes on the turn, gained a short and relatively brief lead in upper stretch, fought outside into the final furlong then weakened but was clear for the show. BUTTAH dropped back while urged along off the pace, dropped from the three path to the rail early on the turn, moved to the two path outside the quarter-pole, turned into the stretch under the crop and gained ground but failed to impact. THREE B'S was hustled from the gate then ridden along on the outside, traveled around most of the turn in the two path then dropped to the rail and failed to rally. JUST CLARITY broke a step slow then was taken up while shut-off by KENNY BE, raced at the rear under urging, rounded most of the turn in the two path, shifted to the three path outside the quarter-pole and failed to threaten.
