MAXALUNA struck the near side stall at the start and conceded four lengths to the front, chased three to four paths off the inside down the backstretch and then along the inside through the turn coming under coaxing at the five-sixteenths, spun two to three wide into upper stretch, rallied to take command a sixteenth out, dug in to prevail. GRAND CROSSING dueled briefly with MELANCIA before easing off to chase that rival two then three wide, went four to five wide into upper stretch, took over command at the three-sixteenths, dug in under threat and was caught a sixteenth out, ran on clear for the place honors. GAME LIKE REYANA chased five then three wide coming under coaxing at the three-eighths, swung five to six wide into upper stretch, bid a furlong out, then weakened in the late stages while clear for the show honors. MELANCIA dueled early on with GRAND CROSSING before showing the way in front in sole command, took the inside route into upper stretch and was collared with three-sixteenths to run, then weakened to the finish. LAST MANGO broke in at the start trading a bump with RASTA GIRL, chased four wide under coaxing from the seven-sixteenths, went seven to eight wide into upper stretch and improved position to the finish. RASTA GIRL broke out at the start trading a bump with LAST MANGO, chased just off the inside and then along the inside coming under coaxing at the three-eighths, spun two to three wide into upper stretch and tired. KATERINA RISTOVA stumbled at the start, chased along the inside and then just off the inside under encouragement from the five-sixteenths, swung five wide into upper stretch and tired. PERSUASIVE chased four then two wide coming under urging at the seven-sixteenths, angled six wide into upper stretch, faltered in the drive. IMPROBABLE FRIEND coaxed from the gate, chased five to six paths off the inside down the backstretch and then four wide through the turn, went seven wide into upper stretch and folded.
