HOT GOSSIP coaxed from the gate, chased four then three wide coming under coaxing near the quarter pole, took over command swinging six wide into upper stretch, went clear under a drive to prevail. KAREY got bumped at the start by OHOOPEE and in turn brushed SPARKLING MAMA, chased five paths off the inside down the backstretch, steadily tucked to the two path near the half mile pole before heading three wide through the turn placed to urging three furlongs out, angled four to five wide into upper stretch, proved no match for the top one while kicking on belatedly to improve position and secure the place honors. OHOOPEE broke in at the start bumping KAREY into SPARKLING MAMA, pressed the pace of SPARKLING MAMA from the outside in the three path, came under a ride near the quarter pole and continued three wide at that station, weakened in the stretch. SPARKLING MAMA got brushed at the start by KAREY due to pressure from OHOOPEE, cut the pace from the two path under pressure to the outside, got ridden along three furlongs out, took the inside route into upper stretch displaced from the front and weakened through to the finish. CARADISE chased just off the inside and then along the inside under urging from the seven-sixteenths marker, cut the corner into upper stretch, tired, and was eased home to the wire.
