DONEGAL SURGES was hustled from the gate, moved up to get the lead outside the three-quarter pole, went clear with five furlongs to run, controlled the action in the two path on the turn, was roused outside the quarter-pole, came under a right-handed crop in upper stretch, drew off into the final furlong, switched to a left-handed crop outside the sixteenth-pole and held under strong urging. DREAMLIKE was urged along off the pace, went around the turn in the two path, shifted to the three path outside the quarter-pole, swung out to the five path into the stretch, drifted out some in the drive and gained with good energy to get the place. WHITTINGTON PARK brushed with a rival at the start, dropped well off the pace under urging, rounded the turn in the two path, moved out in upper stretch and improved for the show. RUSSIAN REALM was urged along at the rear, shifted from the two path to the five path on the turn, spun into the stretch in the six path then moved further out and also improved position then earned the last spot in the superfecta. BRIGADIER GENERAL established a forward position early, was taken in hand entering the main-track then moved out, chased in the four path on the turn, turned into the stretch under the crop and tired. CASTLE CHAOS moved out under urging early, raced up close on the outside, was urged along in the five path on the turn and came up empty. ELIMINATE raced well back in the field, traveled around the turn in the three path and was no factor. BIG BLUE LINE brushed with a foe at the start, moved in with seven furlongs to run, settled off the pace, was urged along late on the backstretch, rounded the turn in the two then three path and failed to respond. V CRUIZER was hustled from the gate then led early, lost the advantage to the winner outside the three-quarter pole, chased that foe passing the five-eighths pole, came up empty in the three then two path on the turn and faltered then was eased but walked off.
