AMBITION settled well off the pace, was roused in the two path on the turn, moved to the three path outside the quarter-pole, swung out to the five path into upper stretch, drifted further out under a left-handed crop shortly thereafter, rallied into the final furlong, gained into the final sixteenth and closed strongly to get up late and prevail. HOUSE UNITED was urged along off the pace, chased in the two path on the turn, brushed with a foe while moving out in upper stretch, rallied into the final furlong, gained into the final sixteenth, made a bid late but missed while able to get the place. CARVELLIAN QUEST moved up to get the lead then showed the way, dropped from the two path to the inside while asked on the turn, dueled with OIL CAPITAL in the stretch, fought to the finish and missed while narrowly able to get the show. OIL CAPITAL came inward at the start, chased the pace down the backstretch, made a bid in the three then two path on the turn, dueled with CARVELLIAN QUEST into the final sixteenth and was outfinished then just missed the show. WHISKEY N SODA was urged along off the pace, saved ground on the turn, moved to the two path outside the quarter-pole, spun into the stretch in the three path, rallied into the final furlong, gained while moving in into the final sixteenth and finished with good energy to just miss the superfecta. BLOWN COVER was urged along on the outside, chased in the four path on the turn, turned into upper stretch in the six path then was carried further out and lacked the needed kick. SERGEANT CAPPS was hustled from the gate, tracked the pace on the outside, chased in the four then three path on the turn, was carried out near the three-sixteenths pole and weakened. TURN AND COUNT settled off the pace, was urged along in the two path for most of the turn, shifted to the three path briefly late on that bend before dropping to the rail outside the quarter-pole and lacked the needed response. ROCK THE WEEKEND was void of speed, moved from the rail to the three path on the turn and was no factor.
