BOURBON DAY was hustled from the gate then coaxed along off the pace, passed the nine-sixteenths pole under stronger urging, chased in the two path on the turn, turned into upper stretch under the crop, gained to make a bid inside of the leading duo at the furlong marker, took the advantage outside the sixteenth-pole then drew clear under steady handling. LE GRIS was hustled from the gate, prompted the pace on the outside of the leader with company also to his outside, vied in the three path while drawing even on the turn, dueled with CRUSHED IT until inside the furlong marker then proved no match for the winner while able to get the place. CRUSHED IT stalked the pace on the outside, inched closer in the four path on the turn, was roused late on that bend, turned into upper stretch on even terms for the lead, dueled with the runner-up until inside the furlong marker and weakened but was clear for the show. WYNSTOCK climbed behind horses entering the main-track, settled at the rear, came under a strong hand-ride near the nine-sixteenths pole, rounded the turn in the three path, was put to the crop inside the three-eighths pole, spun into the stretch in the five path and lacked the needed response. FILM STAR broke in and was last away then was hustled, moved up to show the way inside of foes, was asked in the two path on the turn, dropped to the rail near the five-sixteenths pole and faded.
