Footnotes
CATHEDRAL AISLE forwardly placed five paths off the inside down the backstretch, advanced tucked three wide into the turn and pressed the pace of COMBATANT'S SONG taking over command just inside the three-eighths marker, got placed to urging with five-sixteenths to go, swung four wide into upper stretch, edged clear to inside the eighth pole, dug in and held safe to the finish. SO VAIN broke out at the start bumping COMBATANT'S SONG, chased five to six paths off the inside down the backstretch and then four wide through the turn coaxed along from three furlongs out, tipped six wide into upper stretch, offered up a mild kick. FLEE coaxed from the gate, chased just off the inside under a ride from three furlongs out, angled six wide into upper stretch, closed well to secure the show honors. TRISTAR FURY coaxed from the start, chased just off the inside under urging from the half mile pole, cornered just off the inside into upper stretch and kicked on belatedly to the wire. FIONA'S JOY chased four paths off the rail down the backstretch before tucking to the two path through the turn coming under encouragement with seven-sixteenths remaining, cornered four wide at the head of the stretch, tired. KEF broke in at the start taking over the lane of TANGARAY CRUISER who broke a length slow, showed brief speed four paths off the rail between foes until fading near the nine-sixteenths marker, chased four wide through the turn ridden along from midway, angled seven wide into upper stretch and tired. COMBATANT'S SONG got bumped at the start by SO VAIN, who broke outwards, showed the way in hand three then two wide under pressure from a pair early on and then the top one into the turn, got urged along at the three-eighths marker and yielded the front inside that station, spun two to three wide into upper stretch and tired through to the finish. TANGARAY CRUISER broke a beat slow and lost her lane to KEF, chased six paths off the inside down the backstretch and then four wide through the turn pushed along from the seven-sixteenths, tipped six wide at the top of the stretch and made no impact.
