Footnotes
KADENA was hustled to the front, showed the way on the inside of a rival, vied in the two path on the turn, was asked outside the five-sixteenths pole, came under a right-handed crop in upper stretch, shook off the runner-up into the final sixteenth and proved best under strong handling. HEY COOKIE pressed the pace on the outside, was urged along in the three path on the turn, battled outside the winner until near the sixteenth-pole then was outfinished while just able to hold the place. SHEER WILL broke in and bumped with a rival, was coaxed along just off the pace, drafted inside on the turn, was asked in upper stretch, chased behind a foe under a drive into the final sixteenth and lacked the needed kick then just missed the place but was clear for the show. HELEN'S REVENGE was bumped at the start and forced in, angled out at the rear of the field, reached the far outside under urging near the nine-sixteenths pole, chased in the five then four path on the turn and came up empty. FORMAGGIO showed speed then chased the pace on the outside, raced in the four path early on the turn then shifted to the two path with three furlongs to run, moved out while dropping back in upper stretch and capitulated.
