Footnotes
NATURAL HUNK received incidental contact after the start, settled in behind the top pair stalking from the second flight near but just off the fence, was put to urging passing the five-sixteenths, shifted four wide leaving the turn past the quarter pole, drifted out a bit in upper stretch, straightened back out and surged to the lead past the furlong marker, drew clear while drifting in a hair and was eased up late. NOGUCHI was urged from the start and quickly made the lead, set the pace inside on or just off the rail while shadowed by a foe, dueled inside that one from the seven-sixteenths, exchanged minor brushes in upper stretch still embroiled in a duel, was no match for the winner but fought on inside the dueling partner to secure the place. GOOD COP was coaxed forward from between runners to shadow and press the leader from outside, drew even about the seven-sixteenths, dueled outside a foe through the turn racing about three deep, exchanged minor contact in upper stretch, was outfinished for second. POWERED BY COAL was lightly brushed at the start, stalked in good position outside a foe in the second flight traveling four wide into and on the turn, floated a bit wider for the stretch run, failed to produce a bid. DAYTONA MOONSHINE lightly brushed the inside foe at the start, lacked early speed racing at the rear outside, swung six wide into upper stretch and passed a tiring rival while gaining mildly. DOWN THE LINE came out a bit crossing the gap, chased from mid-pack, was off the rail turning for home, failed to rally. MONEYBAGS MILTON was ridden along midway up the backstretch, saved some ground near the rail on the turn, was not a factor.
