PLAY became restless in the gate when a neighbor broke through, showed speed on the outside then disputed the pace, vied in the two path on the turn, was asked near the quarter-pole, battled with TEN CENT TOWN into the final furlong, responded well into the final sixteenth and just held off the runner-up under strong urging. SCOOT DADDY became restless in the gate when a rival broke through, settled towards the rear, saved ground on the turn, moved to the two path late on that bend, chased under a drive into the final furlong, gained into the final sixteenth and closed with good courage to just miss but was up for the place. TEN CENT TOWN moved up to dispute the pace on the inside of foes, vied along the rail on the turn, was asked near the quarter-pole then came under a drive in in upper stretch, battled with the winner until near the sixteenth-pole and was outfinished while able to get the show. RAVIN'S RANSOM bumped with a rival at the start, was rated just off the pace, stalked in the two path for most of the turn, shifted to the three then four path while roused late on that bend, spun into the stretch in the five path, chased outside while remaining on his inside lead in the drive and lacked the needed kick. LOOMS BOLDLY broke in then was hustled, pressed the pace on the outside, vied in the three path on the turn, dropped back under a drive in upper stretch and tired. STEWIE broke strongly through the front of the gate prior to the start but remained in the stall, was backed out then deemed fit to run by the state veterinarian before being re-loaded, broke through the front of the gate again but still remained in the stall, was bumped on both sides at the start then squeezed back between horses, settled outside at the rear, went around the turn in the three path, angled out in upper stretch and came up empty.
