FLOY JOY coaxed from the gate, dueled in hand three then two wide with TUTHILLTOWN to the inside early on through to the half mile pole and then the outside with three-eighths to go through the remainder of the turn, came under coaxing at the five-sixteenths and angled out to swing four to five wide into upper stretch with that rival on near even terms, dug in continuing to knock heads through the stretch and gamely repelled the challenge to the wire. TUTHILLTOWN coaxed from the start, came in near five and a half furlongs from home placing KARLEY B in tight off her heels down along the rail and forced that foe to check out and INTO THE UNKNOWN to alter out, dueled inside of the aforementioned foe through to the half mile pole when eased off, tipped out to the three path into the turn and advanced once more to latch on FLOY JOY to the outside three furlongs from home, dueled again getting on near even terms when swinging six wide into upper stretch, shied out briefly from the three-sixteenths to the eighth pole before being corrected and knocked heads to the finish but was ultimately rebuffed to the wire. KARLEY B coaxed from the gate, got checked in tight and off heels just inside five and a half furlongs to run, chased just off the inside and then along the inside under a ride from three furlongs out, continued in the two path into upper stretch and showed good courage when keeping on to the finish. GARDEN OF GRACE chased five then four wide under urging from three furlongs out, went seven to eight wide into upper stretch, offered up a bid a furlong out, then weakened in the late stages. INTO THE UNKNOWN altered off the inside just inside five and half furlongs out when KARLEY B was forced to check in front, chased three then two wide under urging from the three-eighths marker, spun just off the inside into upper stretch, offered no response. FORCE OF MISCHIEF chased four paths off the inside down the backstretch and then just off the inside through the turn coaxed along from the three-eighths pole, angled five wide into upper stretch, tired. FIND YOUR PATH brushed the off side stall at the start, chased four then three wide under a ride from midway on the turn, cornered four wide at the head of the stretch, faltered. There was a Stewards' Inquiry into the incident down the backstretch as well as claims of foul by the rider of KARLEY B alleging interference against both FLOY JOY and TUTHILLTOWN. After review, the objections were dismissed and result was allowed to stand prior to the race being declared official.
