OUR PREFERRED PAL was hustled from the gate, disputed the pace on the outside of two foes, vied in the three then four path on the turn, shook clear into upper stretch, responded well in the final furlong and held under strong urging. NEW YORK SPECIAL was hustled from the gate, contested the pace on the inside of two rivals, vied along the rail while asked for more on the turn, dropped back into upper stretch, kept on in pursuit of the winner to the finish and was second best. FACTORY SETTING settled off the early pace then came under urging inside the three-quarter pole, chased in the two then three path on the turn, was driven into the stretch in the four path and lacked the needed kick while clear for the show. LADY DELILAH showed speed between foes and contested the pace, vied in the two path while roused for more on the turn, dropped back at the quarter-pole and weakened. NERI chased the pace on the outside, dropped back leaving the backstretch, went around the turn in the four then five path and tired. VICKED tossed her head at the start, was urged along at the rear, shifted from the rail to the four path on the turn, came into the stretch in the six path and failed to threaten. BIG JACKIE was urged along from the gate, dropped back with six furlongs to run, rounded the turn in the three path, remained on her inside lead in the stretch, moved out outside the furlong marker and was no factor. SARATOGA DAISY settled off the early pace, moved up under urging inside the three-quarter pole, chased late on the backstretch, saved ground on the turn, moved to the two path outside the quarter-pole, spun into the stretch in the three path while under the crop and came up empty.
