Footnotes
SO VAIN forwardly placed from the start, vied briefly among a pair of rivals before emerging to duel five paths off the inside down the backstretch with COME ON GET HAPPY to her inside, tucked three wide through the turn and came under coaxing at the five-sixteenths marker, swung five wide into upper stretch, continued to knock heads through the stretch and was bumped by her main rival at that station and then again just inside the furlong grounds, took command nearing the sixteenth pole and edged away in the late stages to prevail. COME ON GET HAPPY broke in at the start and was corrected, vied briefly with a pair of rivals before emerging to duel four then two wide with the aforementioned foe to her outside, swung four wide into upper stretch set down for the drive, dug in coming out and bumping her main danger at the eighth pole and just inside that station, then got headed for the front near the sixteenth marker and fought on to the wire. FAIRY GODMOTHER chased three to four paths off the inside down the backstretch before tucking inside through the turn, came under urging three furlongs out, spun three wide into upper stretch and kicked on belatedly to the finish. KAY ROAD coaxed from the start, vied briefly with the top pair before being shaken off near the half mile pole, chased three wide under a ride from three furlongs out, angled five wide into upper stretch and weakened in the late stages. BEAU HILL chased six paths off the inside down the backstretch and then four wide through the turn coaxed along from three furlongs out, went seven to eight wide into upper stretch and weakened. BASHFUL BABY got away last when off to a hesitant start, chased eight paths off the inside down the backstretch and then five wide through the turn appearing to want to get out and under a firm left hand grip early on in that bend, went nine wide into upper stretch and tired. TIZ IMPROBABLE broke a beat slow, chased four to five paths off the inside down the backstretch and then just off the inside through the turn, went five wide for home and made no impact. LOOKING AT ANNIE broke in at the start, chased five paths off the inside down the backstretch and then three wide through the turn under urging from the seven-sixteenths pole, tipped six wide into upper stretch and tired.
