HOT CURRENCY stalked the pace down the backstretch, made a bid with a half-mile to run, vied in the four path on the turn, took the lead near the quarter-pole, shook clear outside the furlong marker and drew away under a strong hand-ride to prove much the best. ABSOLUTE SMOKE tracked the pace on the outside, engaged the leaders while in the five path on the turn, spun into upper stretch in the six path and earned the place while no match for the winner. MARGARITA MOLLY showed speed then pressed the pace, vied in the three path on the turn, led narrowly from the three-eighths pole, lost the advantage to the winner at the quarter-pole and weakened while able to get the show. HIRE THE HAT lunged inward at the start and was off a bit slow, moved from the rail to the four path on the turn, spun into upper stretch in the five path and lacked the needed response then missed the show but was clear for the last spot in the superfecta. MAGIC IN MY EYES was away awkwardly, raced towards the rear, went around the turn in the three path, turned into upper stretch in the five path and failed to rally. MATHEA was urged along at the rear, saved ground on the turn, moved off the rail outside the quarter-pole, came out into upper stretch and was no factor. R U BLUFFING moved up then pressed the pace on the inside of the leader, dropped back leaving the backstretch, saved ground on the turn, moved to the two path outside the quarter-pole and also lacked the needed response. POWER OF WOMEN moved up to get the lead then set the pace under pressure, dropped from the two path to the inside on the turn, lost the advantage with three furlongs to run, dropped back into the stretch and tired.
