Footnotes
FONZI ANGEL was well placed just off the pace, raced under a snug hold off heels late on the backstretch, moved from the rail to the three path while roused on the turn, rallied to the lead at the quarter-pole, came out to the five path into upper stretch, shook clear outside the furlong marker, drifted out late and proved best under strong urging then was transported off the track via equine ambulance after returning to the winners circle. BASEBALL LADY pressed the pace on the outside, vied in the three then two path on the turn, took the lead outside the three-eighths pole, lost the advantage to the winner at the quarter-pole, kept on in pursuit of that foe in the stretch and safely secured the place. CHARTIST broke awkwardly and was off a step slow, climbed badly between foes near the seven-eighths pole, angled in early on the backstretch, moved from the two path to the five path under urging while gaining on the turn, turned into upper stretch under a drive and lacked the needed response while best of the rest. GRIT N GLITTER bobbled at the start but broke even with the front then was hustled, moved out early then angled in near the three-quarter pole, went around the turn in the two to three path and failed to threaten. ICY LEGS climbed near the three-quarter pole, raced towards the rear, went around the turn in the five path, drifted inward in upper stretch and was no factor. KEF was urged along on the outside, moved closer late on the backstretch, chased in the four path on the turn and faltered. PROBABLE CHOICE went to the front then showed the way on the inside of a rival, vied inside to the two path on the turn, lost the lead outside the three-eighths pole, dropped back at the five-sixteenths pole and stopped.
