TIZ DASHING tracked the front from just off the pace two then three wide coming under encouragement at the five-sixteenths marker, angled out five to six wide into upper stretch, rallied to take command just outside the eighth pole, dug in under a drive and gamely fended off the former leader to prevail on the wire. NOBLE CONFESSOR coaxed from the gate, showed the way in hand along the inside patiently handled until set down spinning three then two wide into upper stretch, dug in under threat and was caught just outside the eighth pole, dug in under a drive fighting on to the finish to come again at the end but was ultimately staved off to the line. CHURCH AND STATE saved ground in pursuit from mid pack, came under a ride three furlongs from home, spun two to three wide into upper stretch, offered up a mild kick and was just up for the show honors at the finish. LAZLO settled tracking the leader in closest aim from the two path, came under coaxing near the quarter pole and swung four then three wide at the head of the stretch, kept on to the end and was just nailed for the show honors in the final jump. SOLEIL VOLANT two to three wide in pursuit, came under urging at the seven-sixteenths pole, angled seven wide into upper stretch and kicked on belatedly to the wire. MAYOR OF MIDNIGHT (IRE) saved ground at the tail of the field, came under coaxing three furlongs out, angled four wide into upper stretch, made some ground but no headway through to the end. GRIFFIN'S WHARF two to three wide in pursuit, got ridden along at the seven-sixteenths, angled six wide at the head of the stretch, offered no response. STARS AND STRIDES tracked the pace along the inside coming under encouragement with five-sixteenths remaining, angled four wide at the top of the lane, weakened in the stretch. THUNDERING saved ground near the rear of the field, came under urging at the three-eighths pole, spun just off the inside into upper stretch, offered no response.
