JAXER went around the first turn in the two path, settled off the pace, raced inside to the two path on the far turn, was put to a drive in upper stretch, commenced a rally into the final furlong, dropped in outside the sixteenth-pole and closed strongly to get up inside the leaders late and prevail. CAROLINE ST. BEAT settled on the inside, moved off the rail before the five-sixteenths pole, waited approaching the quarter-pole, altered out over heels to the four path at the three-sixteenths pole, rallied outside into the final furlong and finished with good energy to just get the place. FUNNY FACTOR bumped with a rival at the start, raced in the three path on the first turn, settled on the outside towards the front, chased in the three path on the far turn, made an outside bid in upper stretch, battled gamely under a drive to the finish and just missed the place while narrowly able to get the show.
