SMILENSAYCHEESE was urged along on the outside, moved closer late on the backstretch, was roused in the four path on the turn, made a bid near the five-sixteenths pole, took the lead in the five path into the stretch, drifted in while extending the advantage around the furlong marker and widened under steady urging while much the best. CONFABULATION disputed the pace on the outside of a foe, was urged along in the two path on the turn, spun into the stretch in the three path, lost touch with the winner into the final furlong, moved out behind that foe around the sixteenth-pole and proved no match while able to get the place. FLAT ON was coaxed along towards the front, made a bid late on the backstretch, vied in the three path on the turn, turned into the stretch in the four path, dropped back into the final furlong and also proved no match for the winner then missed the place but earned the show. ENDURING SPIRIT broke awkwardly then bumped with a foe, settled off the pace, stalked in the three path on the turn, swung out to the six path into upper stretch and lacked the needed response. KISMEHOLDMETHRLME dropped well behind the rest of the field, saved ground on the turn and was no factor. RIDE UP was hustled from the gate, contested the pace on the inside of a rival, dropped back under urging while inside on the turn and tired. UNION EXPRESS bumped with a foe at the start, settled on the outside, was urged along passing the five-eighths pole, went around the turn in the four path, turned into the stretch in the five path and came up empty. AWESOME EMPIRE was urged along near the back, moved from the two path to the five path on the turn, spun into the stretch in the six path and failed to threaten. SOLO EMPIRE was hustled from the gate, settled off the pace, went around the turn in the three to five path and failed to respond. SARATOGA WARRIOR was hustled from the gate, moved up under urging to make a bid near the three-quarter pole then dropped back, came up empty in the two path on the turn and retreated.
