DONEGAL SURGES broke out and was off a bit slow, settled off the pace, was roused in the three then four path on the turn, rallied into upper stretch, closed strongly to get the lead outside the furlong marker, drifted out significantly under a left-handed crop approaching the sixteenth-pole, came further out late then bothered the runner-up and held under steady urging. BE YOU settled at the rear, moved from the three path to the five path on the turn, rallied outside in upper stretch, closed strongly to loom a major threat into the final furlong, checked off the heels of the winner when that foe drifted in front late and missed but was clear for second. EMIRATES ROAD was urged along towards the rear, went around the turn in the two then three path, was driven into the stretch in the four path and finished willingly for the show. IGNITE THE LIGHT bumped with a rival at the start, contested the pace, vied in the two path while asked on the turn, battled under a drive in upper stretch and weakened. TOP GUN ROCKET settled off the pace, was roused in the two path, steadied off heels outside the quarter-pole and lacked the needed response. CERTIFIED LOVERBOY broke a bit awkwardly, prompted the pace on the inside of the leader, drew even with that foe before the half-mile pole, vied inside while asked on the turn, dropped back in upper stretch and tired. SOCIETY MAN broke out and bumped with a foe, settled off the pace, saved ground on the turn and failed to threaten. SHADOW DRAGON was sent hard from the gate, tracked the pace on the outside, chased in the four path for most of the turn then dropped to the three path and came up empty. V CRUIZER settled off the pace, was urged along passing the five-eighths pole, saved ground on the turn, steadied behind horses outside the quarter-pole, turned into the stretch in the three path then moved further out and was no factor. MAGNOLIA MIDNIGHT disputed the pace on the outside, chased in the three then two path on the turn and capitulated. ELIMINATE angled to the outside under restraint then raced on the far outside, was urged along in the five then six path on the turn, dropped back in the seven path into the stretch and had nothing left. FOLLOWING A STEWARDS' INQUIRY INTO THE STRETCH RUN, DONEGAL SURGES WAS DISQUALIFED FROM FIRST AND PLACED SECOND FOR INTERFERENCE INSIDE THE SIXTEENTH-POLE
