Footnotes
SUERTE went to the front under urging then showed the way, extended the advantage in the two path on the turn, responded well under a drive in the stretch, remained clear into the final sixteenth, drifted out late and just held under strong urging. AZTEC was urged along near the back, moved out with about five furlongs to run, went around the turn in the four then five path, rallied outside into the final furlong and closed strongly to just miss while able to get the place. SKYLANDER bumped with a rival at the start, settled off the pace, moved from the two path to the four path under urging on the turn, chased the winner in the stretch and finished willingly for the show. SHARP SPARK broke out then stumbled and was off slow, dropped well behind the rest of the field then moved in, shifted from the rail to the five path on the turn, turned into upper stretch in the seven path and improved position. FIRST TRUMPET moved out early, tracked the pace on the outside, chased in the four then three path on the turn, turned into upper stretch under a drive and weakened. MORE VINO stalked the pace, dropped from the three path to the two path early on the turn, chased the leader around that bend, spun into the stretch in the three path then moved further out and tired. LIFE AND LIGHT broke out then bobbled, pressed the pace loosely between horses, dropped back near the nine-sixteenths pole, saved ground on the turn and came up empty. CREATE TROUBLE was urged along off the pace, went around the turn in the two then three path, spun into the stretch in the four path and failed to threaten. MINISTERIAL was hustled from the gate, raced just off the pace, dropped back late on the backstretch, raced inside to the two path on the turn, spun into the stretch in the three path and faltered then was transported off the track via equine ambulance.
