DAZZLING GOLD had inside speed under pressure, dueled stretch, gave best before giving way nearing the sixteenth pole. COMMANDOSLASTDANCE forced pace outside, dueled stretch, gave way mid stretch. NIKKITYSPLIT broke slow, was steadying four wide early, stalked outside, faded. Following a STEWARDS INQUIRY, NIKKITYSPLIT was found to have had an unfair start. All monies wagered on NIKKITYSPLIT were refunded except for multi-race wagers, in which the favourite was substituted.
