BETTERMAKETHATTWO forced pace outside, was turned back in late turn, came again to take the lead inside passing the eighth pole, gradually edged away from PICKIN RIFFS, shook that one passing the sixteenth pole, missed. PICKIN' RIFFS had inside speed under pressure, turned back outside rival late turn, challenged by the same rival who came back inside to take the lead passing the eighth pole, gave best to sixteenth pole before tiring. PINO BAMBINO stalked forced pace off rail, gave best stretch. NO BARB WIRE trailed early, advanced inside, rallied to no avail. DIANE'S WISH passed a tired rival. KENTUCKY JAKE stalked off rail early, five-wide backstretch, faded.
