Footnotes
FEVER NIGHT was hustled from the gate, set the pace under pressure to his outside, was asked under threat while inside on the turn, turned into upper stretch on even terms for the lead, dueled with the runner-up to the finish and narrowly prevailed under strong urging. QUIET WISDOM prompted the pace on the outside, drew even with the leader near the seven-sixteenths pole, vied in the two path on the turn, dueled outside of the winner in the stretch and just missed while narrowly able to get the place. SHIPSATIONAL settled off the early pace, moved up on the outside with six furlongs to run then stalked the leader, chased in the three path on the turn, pursued the top two under a drive in the stretch, gained on those foes late and just missed while well clear for the show. BOURBON CHASE was hustled from the gate then settled off the pace, passed the nine-sixteenths pole under urging, raced inside for most of the turn then shifted to the two path and came up empty. ENDURING SPIRIT was off slow and spotted the front a couple lengths, settled at the rear, was urged along passing the five-eighths pole, went around the turn in the two then three path, came out to the five path into the stretch and failed to respond.
