ONLY FOR NOW was fractious in the gate, broke in and a bit awkwardly while off slow, spotted the front a few lengths, settled at the rear, went around most of the turn in the three path then tipped to the four path, was roused approaching the quarter-pole, swung out to the six path into upper stretch, rallied outside under a right-handed crop, drifted in while gaining just inside the furlong marker, was switched to a left-handed crop outside the sixteenth-pole and closed fast to get up in the final two strides and prevail. FLORIDA PATRIOT showed speed then set the pace on the inside of a foe, vied along the rail on the turn, was asked late on that bend, kicked clear while put to a left-handed crop in upper stretch, remained clear into the final sixteenth but was caught in the final strides and missed while clear for the place. NAKOMA moved up then was well placed just off the pace, chased in the two path on the turn, was driven into upper stretch in the three path, kept on in pursuit of the runner-up into the final sixteenth and earned the show. ANGELS ENVY settled off the pace, angled in with about five furlongs to run, saved ground under urging on the turn and lacked the needed response. CATAENJO settled on the outside, tucked in behind cover late on the backstretch, was roused in the three path on the turn, swung out to the five path into upper stretch and failed to rally. TIME FOR YOU pressed the pace on the outside, vied in the three then two path on the turn, was roused outside the five-sixteenths pole, came out to the four path while dropping back into upper stretch and capitulated.
