EDISTRUDIS settled on the outside, was urged along in the four path on the turn, came into the stretch in the five path, rallied outside into the final furlong, closed strongly to get the lead at the sixteenth-pole then moved clear under a hand-ride late. A MAIZE ZING DOTIE chased then pressed the pace on the outside of the leader, vied in the two path on the turn, turned into upper stretch under the crop, chased the leader while remaining on her inside lead until just inside the furlong marker then swapped to the proper lead, re-bid outside the sixteenth-pole, battled on even terms for the lead into the final sixteenth but was outfinished while just able to get the place. CALLING AN AUDIBLE was urged along off the pace, chased in the two path on the turn, was driven into the stretch in the three path then moved further out and finished willingly to just miss the place while clear for the show. SABBY SUNSET was bumped lightly at the start, went to the front then showed the way on the inside of an opponent, vied along the rail on the turn, came under a left-handed crop in upper stretch, led under a drive until near the sixteenth-pole then was headed and weakened. SHORT SHIFT broke out then made light contact with SABBY SUNSET, was hustled then well placed just off the pace, saved ground on the turn, chased into upper stretch and tired. PEAK OF CHIC was hustled from the gate, chased the pace on the outside then in the three path on the turn and came up empty. MISS LAO dropped well behind under urging, rounded most of the turn in the two path then shifted to the three path, came into the stretch in the four path then drifted out and was no factor. MOONLIT WEEKEND moved in while ridden along towards the rear, reached the rail late on the backstretch, saved ground on the turn and failed to respond.
