ACTIVE DUTY chased three then four wide coming under coaxing at the five-sixteenths, went seven wide into upper stretch, rallied to engage SIX KINGS in head to head combat through the final furlong, fought game to the finish and got the nod on the wire. SIX KINGS chased along the inside and then just off the inside coming under encouragement tucked back inside briefly at the five-sixteenths, advanced to take command swinging five wide into upper stretch, dug in confronted by the aforementioned foe a furlong out, dueled through to the finish in game fashion but lost the bob on the line. PROVISION hustled from the gate, chased three wide in closest aim of the leader, advanced on that rival to take command five-sixteenths from home, came under coaxing under threat and yielded the front spinning six wide into upper stretch, then weakened in the late stages while along for the show honors. BECAUSE THE NIGHT leapt at the start, chased five then three wide under a ride from the seven-sixteenths, went eight wide into upper stretch and improved position to the finish. BIG RICH hustled from the start, showed the way in hand just off the inside coming under urging near the five-sixteenths under threat, got displaced from command at that station and swung four wide for home, then faltered in the drive. PATROLMAN broke out a step at the start, chased three to four paths off the inside down the backstretch before tucking to the two path near the half mile pole and then making his way along the rail into the turn, got placed to coaxing at the seven-sixteenths, spun just off the inside into upper stretch and trailed.
