Footnotes
MUNNINGS EXPRESS stalked the pace on the outside, vied in the three to four path on the turn, was asked near the quarter-pole, took over into upper stretch, drifted in under a right-handed crop near the furlong marker, switched to a left-handed crop while going clear outside the sixteenth-pole and drew away under steady urging. MISS IM PULSIVE bumped with a rival at the start, showed speed between horses then contested the pace on the inside of foes, vied along the rail on the turn, was asked near the quarter-pole, lost the advantage into upper stretch, pursued the winner in the final furlong, moved out into the final sixteenth then had the rider lose her crop and was second best. DEAR MOON stumbled at the start but broke with the field, settled on the outside, tucked in behind horses near the half-mile pole, went around most of the turn in the three path, was roused outside the five-sixteenths pole, moved to the four path outside the quarter-pole, turned into the stretch under a right-handed crop, drifted out near the furlong marker and lacked the needed response while well clear for the show. CLOUDY CHANCE bumped with an opponent at the start, was well placed just off the pace, moved off the rail inside the five-eighths pole, was given her cue in the two path at the three-eighths pole, moved to the three path outside the quarter-pole, chased into upper stretch and tired. HAPPY'S SMILE lost her footing at the start, moved in while settling off the pace, saved ground on the turn, was asked outside the five-sixteenths pole, moved out outside the furlong marker and came up empty. YOU KNOW BETTER was fractious in the gate, came away in good order, disputed the pace on the backstretch, vied in the two path on the turn, passed the five-sixteenths pole under urging, dropped back into the stretch and retreated.
