Footnotes
JULITA angled in while going to the front, showed the way on the outside of an opponent, was joined on the outside coming to the half-mile pole, vied along the rail while inside of a rival on the turn, responded well when roused in the two path into upper stretch, switched to the proper lead while kicking clear inside the three-sixteenths pole, was put to a right-handed crop outside the furlong marker and drew away under strong urging. ST. ADDIE bumped with a rival at the start, raced with her head held high while alternating between being urged and being rated, moved up quickly to make a bid outside of the leader with a half-mile to run, vied in the two path on the turn, was asked outside the quarter-pole, lost touch with the winner in upper stretch, chased that foe into the final furlong and proved no match while clear for the place. PROFESSOR GRACE broke out and bumped with a rival, moved up inside the three-quarter pole to press the pace inside of the leader, was taken under a vigorous hold at that juncture, continued to press inside the pacesetter under tight restraint, checked at the half-mile pole and dropped back, was asked while inside to the two path on the turn, chased into upper stretch and weakened while clear for the show. WIDDERSHINS came away at the rear, was carried in early then steadied and dropped back before moving to the outside, settled near the rear, was asked around the seven-sixteenths pole then urged along in the four path on the turn and came up empty. TIZN'T ANYMORE was hustled from the gate, angled in early then tracked the pace on the outside, was urged along late on the backstretch, dropped back in the three path on the turn, moved out in upper stretch and capitulated.
