APALTA was bumped on both sides at the start then checked while pinched back badly, rounded the first turn in the two path, settled off the pace, was roused in the three path on the far turn, moved to the four path late on that bend, rallied outside in upper stretch, closed well to get the lead inside the sixteenth-pole, fought outside of the runner-up to the finish and narrowly prevailed under good handling. SHIPSATIONAL broke alertly from the outside post, moved in while established a forward position early, raced in the two path on the first turn, prompted the pace on the outside, took the lead leaving the backstretch, moved to a solo advantage in the two path on the far turn, came under a left-handed crop in upper stretch, led into the final sixteenth then was headed by the winner, battled with that foe to the finish and just missed while well clear for the place. PETROLO stumbled at the start then bumped with rivals on both sides, traveled around the first turn in the three path, stalked the pace on the outside, was asked late on the backstretch, chased in the three path on the far turn, dropped back while remaining on his inside lead in the stretch and weakened but held the show. NATURAL HUNK bumped soundly with foes on both sides at the start then was squeezed back and moved out, dropped from the three path to the inside early on the first turn, settled at the back, was urged along while inside to the two path on the far turn, came well out into upper stretch and failed to threaten while up for the last spot in the superfecta. BOURBON CHASE bumped soundly with an opponent at the start, went around the first turn in the four path, was reserved on the outside, came under urging late on the backstretch, navigated most of the far turn in the four path then moved to the five path and lacked the needed response.
